King of Pangea: An Original Musical

Throughout his childhood, Christopher Crow’s relentlessly optimistic mother told him colorful stories about an imaginary island called Pangea. When she passes away unexpectedly, Christopher - now in his twenties - decides that the only way to make sense of everything is to travel to Pangea himself…if he can remember the way.

King of Pangea is a deeply moving and enchanting new musical. Inspired by the author’s experience, King of Pangea combines memoir and magical realism as it travels the rich complicated road from grief to healing, and examines what it means to reclaim hope in the face of life-altering loss.

  • ...it's easy to see King of Pangea evolving eventually into a full-blown national hit musical...but there's a greater and surely more powerful importance here, as this story likely stands as one of the most honest and astute explorations of mourning that maybe any musical theatre boards have ever seen

Brett Fieldcamp, The Oklahoma City Free Press

  • King of Pangea...deftly explores timeless, universal concepts like love, loss and imagination, without trying to have all the answers...fearlessly open-hearted, moving without being maudlin...this "King" seems set for a long, illustrious reign on stages across the world

    Brandy McDonnell, The Oklahoman

  • King of Pangea combines all the best of musical theater...simple words do not capture the power of this production

    Franci Hart, OKC Friday

  • The richness, beauty and meaning of...King of Pangea - will stay with me for a long time.
